Tema Engineering Ltd makes proper provision for the Health, Safety and Welfare of its employees and others who may be affected by the Company's activities.
Continuous improvement will be achieved by setting objectives and targets, by monitoring performance and auditing against standards.

Statement of Quality Policy
It is the policy of Tema Engineering Limited to establish and maintain an effective and efficient Quality Management System based on the requirements of BS EN ISO 9002.
The company's Quality Objectives are to provide products and services which:
• Are equal to, or exceed, customer requirements
• Are fit for the purpose for which they are intended
• Are delivered on time
• Are safe and reliable
The Directors and Staff of Tema Engineering Limited are aware of and fully committed to the Company's Quality objectives, based on our Policy of continuous improvement to achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction. As such, the Quality Procedures outlined in this manual are Mandatory.

Our philosophy is focused on prevention rather than detection.
The System is described in this Document and Supporting Procedures.
These documents have been designed to ensure that all requirements related to Quality Management are recognised, documented and developed and are fully integrated with all Company Operations.
The Quality Manager is responsible for Implementation of the Quality Management system for provision of adequate resources and suitably qualified personnel.
All Company Employees are aware of and committed to the Company's Quality Objectives based on our policy of continuous Improvement to achieve Customer Satisfaction.

Health & Safety Policy Statement
The Directors of Tema Engineering regard the promotion of Health & Safety as a joint objective for Managers and Employees at all levels of the Company recognising that Occupational Health & Safety is an integral part of it’s business performance.
The Directors recognise their responsibility to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken to provide and maintain safe working conditions that comply with all statutory requirements and codes of practice and to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate resources to implement this policy.
The Company will as far as is reasonably practicable, pay particular attention to the following through integration into the Company’s normal management systems:
• The provision and maintenance of safe working conditions, plant and machinery taking into account any statutory provisions;
• Arrangements for ensuring safety and absence to risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of all materials and substances;
• The provision of information, instruction, training and supervision to enable employees to carry out their duties safely, efficiently and to meet the Company’s objectives;
• The provision of adequate induction training for all new employees or existing employees or existing employees transferring to new duties to enable them to perform their duties safely and efficiently;
• Ensuring the availability and supervision of the use of all necessary safety and protective equipment;
• Controlling the place of work in order to ensure it is maintained in a safe condition without risk to health and to provide adequate facilities for employees’ welfare;
• Providing safe means of access and egress to and from the place of work.
Implementation will be through line management who will involve all employees in the achievement of the Company’s objectives.
All employees are expected to accept their responsibility to work safely adhering to safety rules and work procedures, using safety equipment provided, and generally to contribute to the maintenance of safe and healthy conditions.
A system of consultation with employees will be maintained at all Company locations to stimulate continuing improvement, and so promote Health & Safety practices.
Continuous improvement will by setting objectives and targets, by monitoring performance and auditing against standards.
All new activities will be assessed to ensure adequate Health & Safety provision. All existing activities will be subject to Risk Assessment with the objective of eliminating risk wherever possible.
Whether inside or outside the workplace the Company’s first choice in the control of risk will be by substituting safer materials or processes wherever it is reasonably practicable.
WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR HEALTH & SAFETY AND MUST WORK TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE THE COMPANY’S OBJECTIVES.

Environmental Policy
Tema Engineering Ltd is committed to the protection and enhancement of the environment. Improving our overall corporate environmental performance is a major and continuing priority to be achieved by implementing and maintaining an environmental management system, and adhering to this environmental policy. Tema Engineering Ltd endeavours to minimise the environmental impact of its activities, products and processes as identified in our ongoing environmental reviews.
In particular we aim to:
- ensure our activities, products and processes are managed to minimise environmental impacts
- minimise energy consumption
- manage our waste handling to the 'Code of Practice - Waste Management - a Duty of Care'- Environmental Protection Act 1990, Section 34.
· prevent spillages, leaks, unauthorised discharges and abnormal activities
· protect the Health & Safety of our workforce including noise management
· minimise and segregate waste
To achieve such corporate environmental improvement, Tema Engineering Ltd has set, and will maintain, review and revise, environmental objectives and targets with the aim of continually improving our environmental performance.
Tema Engineering Ltd commits to complying with all legislation, regulations and industry codes associated with our environmental impact and, where no legislation exists, we endeavour to set corporate standards to meet our overall objective of improved corporate environmental performance. It is mandatory for all employees of the company to conduct their work in a manner compatible with the company's environmental policy and objectives. We ensure that all employees are aware of the environmental policy and procedures and the environmental implications of deviating from planned activities.
